(Xinhua) NetEase, one of China's leading internet and online game
service providers, reported a 15.7-percent net revenue growth in 2019.
The Nasdaq-listed firm raked in 59.2 billion yuan ($8.4 billion) in
net revenue last year, according to its unaudited financial results for
the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended Dec 31, 2019.
Non-GAAP net income from continuing operations attributable to its
shareholders totaled 15.7 billion yuan, compared to 10.8 billion yuan in
2018, the company said.
Net revenue from online games was 46.4 billion yuan, up 15.5 percent
year-on-year, with mobile games accounting for approximately 71.4
percent of the total.
"We saw strong growth across our primary businesses due to strong
performance in our online game services as well as other business
segments," said William Ding, CEO of NetEase.
Ding also noted that NetEase is committed to providing support to the
communities affected by COVID-19, although the company currently
expects to see some impact on its business lines in the near term.
